Why Rowe

Senior ComAp application engineering for controllers, paralleling, and mission-critical power — field-proven judgment when uptime and complexity matter, not a generic consultancy.

Roughly 25–40 projects commissioned per year for the past ~6 years — varying in MW size and complexity — from controllers and paralleling through commissioning and field support.

Deep ComAp seat time

Application engineering at ComAp Group, including some of the company’s most complex controller projects — the kind of nuance that only shows up after years inside the product line.

Mission-critical background

Fifteen-plus years in power generation across data center and mission-critical environments where uptime isn’t optional — design and programming through commissioning and field support.

Controls → connected

Paralleling, switchgear, and control systems, plus IoT-connected infrastructure using Node-RED, MQTT, and CODESYS.

Selected project highlights

  • Critical-power ring bus (2024): Dual-main incomers into a ring bus, 4 tie breakers, 2×2 MW CAT gensets, load add/shed for 32 feeder breakers, ComAp controls with hot-swap redundancy and redundant CAN. Ultra-critical financial / data-center infrastructure; has backed the site through several outages.
  • Commissioned a 1-main + 2×1 MW CAT genset system with ComAp IG500G2 controllers
  • IIoT bridge work: ComAp IG1000 / BESS530 into an MQTT-based architecture (lab / PoC)
  • Also: Ohio Technical College paralleling training update with current ComAp technology; CODESYS work with the ComAp Americas Engineering Team
